(Rapaport… July 6, 2004) DMC Namibia, a Namibian diamond consulting firm, was appointed as Namibia’s diamond valuator by the government on June 30, 2004. The company will hold the position for five years as of January 1, 2005.

DMC Namibia is a joint venture (65%) with DMC South Africa (35%). DMC SA replaced the Diamond Valuation International Corporation (DVIC) as SA government valuator in February this year. Veteran rough diamond expert Menachem Pelleg oversees both DMC companies.
