RAPAPORT... The Diamond Trading Company informed sightholders in a letter that its remaining two sights in the calendar year would be smaller and more focused.

The move follows World Federation of Diamond Bourse president Avi Paz's appeal to  diamond producers to limit the supply of rough in an effort to curb industry debt.

Sources also told Rapaport News that DTC was planning to focus its marketing on promoting diamonds as a stable investment. The DTC will unveil its marketing plan at its next sight.
