RAPAPORT… Pandora has opened a new manufacturing center in Bangkok, Thailand,
aiming to speed up production and comply with consumers’ sustainability demands.

The facility, named Triple A, will produce more than 1.5
million pieces of jewelry per week, and shorten production time to four weeks
from the current five to eight weeks, Pandora said Friday.

“We are very proud to celebrate the official opening of our
new crafting facility,” Thomas Touborg, senior vice president of group
operations, said Friday. “Pandora wants to meet consumers’ demand for beautiful
jewelry at affordable prices, made in an environmentally friendly way, and
Triple A is an important milestone for us in this regard.”

The four-story, 20,000-square-meter factory has “gold”
certification from Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED), and meets
the highest sustainability standards, Pandora explained.

It is located near the company’s existing crafting facility
in Gemopolis, a Bangkok industrial estate for jewelry, and will hold approximately
5,000 workers, with robot vehicles transporting product parts around the
complex.
