Blue Nile Reminds Shoppers of its Engagment Ring Options

Blue Nile released a statement reminding online shoppers about its "popular engagement ring options" for the Christmas season -- the fourth such anouncement the company has made in the past month. On the other hand, dear Rapaport retail readers, they are following expert search-engine-optimization advice, doing everything right to keep their name out there as consumers go online to shop for diamond rings. Search engine experts advise issuing weekly or, at the very least, monthly press releases to keep your brand coming up in online searches. These online press releases also boost your page ranking through automatic links.

Therefore, in this installment, Blue Nile alerted consumers that this is "the most popular time of the year to get engaged, and this year is no exception." Diane Irvine, Blue Nile's chief executive officer (CEO), added that economic conditions haven't stopped people from falling in love. She reminded readers that Blue Nile offers engagement rings "at a tremendous value," as well as diamond bands and gemstone rings with styles to fit all budgets.

"While the diamond solitaire ring is still the most popular choice among consumers, some are proposing with diamond bands and with colored gemstone center stone rings," the release noted. According to Blue Nile, diamond engagement rings that are currently popular include a channel-set Eternity Diamond Ring in 18 karat white gold, which starts at $1,200; a trio micropave Eternity Diamond Ring in platinum for $3,075; and a prong-set garland Eternity Diamond Ring in platinum starting at $4,225. Popular gemstone engagement rings include an emerald and diamond ring set in 18 karat white gold, for $2,135; a sapphire and half-moon shaped diamond ring in platinum for $5,300; and a ruby and micropave diamond ring in 18 karat white gold for $9,500.
