RAPAPORT... Jewelers Alert advises all members of the trade to conceal FedEx boxes when carrying them on 47th Street in Manhattan. Jewelers Alert received a report of a robbery that took place in front of 580 Fifth Avenue in New York last night at approximately 7:30 p.m. An assailant pushed a diamond dealer and stole a FedEx box that was being carried on 48th Street. The diamond dealer ended up in the hospital with a broken arm.

If you have any information about the incident, please contact JewelersAlert.com or the New York Police Department. About one week ago, a similar thing happened to an off-duty FedEx guard and about ten to 12 FedEx boxes were stolen.
