JVC Launches eBusiness Center

RAPAPORT... The Jewelers Vigilance Committee (JVC) has launched an eBusiness Center, a new online networking resource where jewelers can identify JVC member service providers. The eBusiness Center can be found on JVC’s website — — and will soon be available on JVC’s Facebook page.

Members listed in JVC’s eBusiness Center abide by the association’s standards and practices and provide information, products, services and programs to support jewelers’ businesses. The center's service categories include banks, insurance, gemologists and appraisers, law and shipping. Additional service providers and new service categories will be added in the future. The center's profiles will include the featured companies' titles and contacts, as well as the contacts' titles, email addresses, phone numbers and mailing addresses, along with links to the company’s websites. There is no fee for jewelers to access or utilize JVC’s eBusiness Center.

Cecilia Gardner, JVC’s president, chief executive officer (CEO) and general counsel, said of the service, “JVC’s eBusiness Center introduces the jewelry industry to JVC member service providers. JVC members — retailers, manufacturers, distributors, gold buyers and service providers — adhere to JVC’s strict standards and practices and the laws governing our industry. These companies also support the mission and goals of the JVC. JVC’s membership roster and eBusiness Center are growing — visit JVC’s website,, for additional service providers and service categories.”
