Ritchies to Unveil 50-Ct. Diamond for Auction in November

RAPAPORT... Ritchies Auctioneers in Toronto is preparing for a fine jewelry auction in November with an exclusive unveiling of an important 50.24-carat, VS1, brilliant-cut loose diamond appraised at $10 million on October 26. diamondsAdditional items include an 18-carat, fancy yellow diamond appraised at $1 million, a 78-carat fancy yellow diamond necklace appraised at $600,000, a red ruby necklace appraised at more than $500,000, and a one of a kind Piaget watch appraised at $200,000.

The auction house will offer more than 160 lots and hold previews, by appointment, from November 1 through November 13 before holding the sale at 2 p.m. on November 13 at the Royal Ontario Museum.

Recently, the company told its customers that it had taken the next steps in growing its presence by building a new team for its offices in New York, Hong Kong and Dubai as part of a larger transformation to become a major player on the international auction stage.
