With the biggest shopping weekend upon us in the U.S., retailers are preparing for a solid Christmas sales season even though consumer unemployment along with stagnate wages are weighing on the economy. In the  New York metro area, in particular, word on the street is that Wall Street bonuses this year are taking quite a hit too.  Nonetheless,  three independent jewelers are leading a wave of retail optimism with their carefully targeted marketing plans,  competitively priced designer and branded product lines and realistic expectations following months of preparation for this busiest season of the year.  In this week's Rapaport Weekly News Broadcast, we hear from Robin McCormick Jewelry Design Studio in Katonah, NY,  Daniele Trissi of Scarsdale, NY, and Manfredi Jewels in Greenwich, CT.
