Rajesh Exports Posts Strong Sales on Akshaya Tritiya

RAPAPORT... Rajesh Exports Ltd. reported record sales during Akshaya Tritiya,  one of the most ‎auspicious days on the Hindu calendar to buy gold and jewelry. The jewelry brand said ‎that sales exceeded $9.9 million (INR 520 million) at its 80 Shubh Jewellers stores ‎during the festival.  

The Bangalore-based company stated that its stores registered footfalls of 11,415 ‎customers, with 10,573 conversions, and that it sold 19,668 pieces of jewelry. More than 178 ‎kilograms of jewelry were sold during the festival, Rajesh Exports stated.

The company opened 20 new retail stores in the southern Indian state of Karnataka on ‎Akshaya Tritiya, which was celebrated on April 24 this year.

Rajesh Exports is planning an aggressive retail expansion program to help drive revenue and profit in ‎the coming quarters. The company plans to establish 500 Shubh Jewellers stores by ‎‎2015.‎
