RAPAPORT... Warwick Jewelers of Exton, Pennsylvania announced a promotional giveaway to coincide with the NBC Championship Games. The retailer will give 30, 0.25-carat diamonds to the first 30 NBA finals ticket-holders to visit the store if the Philadelphia 76ers win the 2012 NBA Championship.
The day for the giveaway has not yet been set and will depend upon the Sixers winning the NBA Championship. The 30 diamonds, which will be given as loose stones, have a combined value of $10,000. Each 0.25-carat diamond giveaway is limited to one per household.
"I have always been a big fan of the Sixers and I believe they can go all the way this season," said Barry Maglin, owner of Warwick Jewelers. "I hope our store's commitment to the Sixers will inspire them to win the championship after almost 30 years. If they accomplish this feat, they will be rewarding 30 of their fans with free diamonds."
