Press Release: The International Gemological Institute (IGI), the world's largest independent gem certification and appraisal institute, announced today the launch of their new and exclusive property called the “The IGI D-Show,” a two day buyer–seller knowledge meet organized to facilitate easier communication within the market.

The first such show is organized by IGI in Andhra Pradesh’s capital, Hyderabad -- the city of pearls, the birth place of diamonds and the world-renowned Golconda diamond mines -- in the presence of well-known market players and luminaries from the jewelry industry.

Studying the tremendous untapped potential of the Hyderabad jewelry market, IGI observed the need to facilitate buyer-to-seller interaction aimed at the future development of the gemstone market in the city. The idea is to bring like-minded people who offer IGI certified jewelry and loose diamonds along with jewelers who trust IGI certification on a common platform to interact and establish long term business goals.

This two-day event will have India's most renowned jewelry and diamond manufacturers showcasing their exquisite designs and diamond stock for the retailers of Andhra Pradesh. The knowledge fair will also have some exclusive seminars for participants, which will give insights on critical information jewelers should keep in mind while buying and selling. This will in turn empower them to face challenges in the gems and jewelry industry effectively.

“The IGI D-Show is a new concept, and it gives me great satisfaction to announce our first such show for the city of Hyderabad. We are thrilled with the response shown by the jewelry industry, and look forward to building this property with regular events across cities for the benefit of diamond merchants and traders in India,” said Tehmasp Printer, the managing director of IGI – India. “The first diamonds in the world were unearthed here in Golconda, and IGI will initiate the D Show in Hyderabad and complete the full circle.”

Manufacturers from across the country are participating, including Bhavani Gems, Kiran Gems Pvt. Ltd., Unidesign India Pvt. Ltd., Aura Jewels, Goldroof, H. Dipak & Co, Imagem Jewels, Jewelex India Pvt. Ltd., K.P.Sanghvi Jewels Pvt. Ltd., Maa Creations Pvt. Ltd., Mars Dia Jewels, Moon Exports, Arvi Jewels, Priority Jewels Pvt. Ltd., Rishabh Jewels, Romil Jewels, Ariha Diamond Jewellery Pvt. Ltd., Shaswat Jewels Pvt. Ltd., Kiah Lifestyle Pvt. Ltd., Star Rays and S R Jewels. Well-established and acclaimed retailers from Hyderabad have registered for the event as well.

Following the overwhelming response and support from manufacturers and retailers from all across the country, IGI has decided to host such shows in various cities in India at regular intervals, depending on the market scenario and feedback from industry professionals.
