RAPAPORT... Kiran Gems, a leading manufacturer of white diamonds, opened new offices in Delhi and Shanghai, expanding its operations in the local and overseas markets.

The company’s new office in Delhi is located in Karolbagh and will serve as the business center for diamond and diamond jewelry customers in northern India, where there is a lot of potential, according to the company.

“It will save valuable time of our customers and will also keep us near to them,” said Dinesh Lakhani, the director of Kiran Gems.

The company’s product range includes finely cut and crafted natural diamonds of different shapes, including rounds, marquise, pears, princess, emeralds, hearts and ovals ranging from the smallest sizes up to 1.5 carats.

Kiran, a De Beers sightholder, said that its new office in Shanghai would target jewelry manufacturers and retailers in China.

“China is an important market with a lot of potential,” said Gautam Gopani, the director of Kiran Exports HK Ltd. “Our office in China will make it easier for us to be in constant touch with our customers for their requirements.”

The company’s production system handles more than 5 million carats of rough diamonds to produce over 1.47 million carats of polished stones annually, according to its website.
