Project Runway Highlights Jewelry From Manhattan's 47th Street Firms

RAPAPORT... Jewelry designs that were worn by models on Lifetime's® popular television show "Project Runway" overnight were provided by  businesses from Manhattan's 47th Street Business Improvement District.project runway

Member businesses that loaned $30 million worth of their products to the episode included  d'auria, Diamond Scene, Gold Art 18KT, Gray & Davis, Nagin Jewelry, I. Friedman & Sons, Manny Winick & Sons, Roman Malakov Diamonds, Ritani, Salvatore and Co., Sea Wave Diamonds, Shenoa & Co., Shine Jewelry and Zoland.  

The 47th Street Business Improvement District supports members who are located on West 47th Street between Fifth and Sixth Avenues in Midtown Manhattan.

The area hosts more than 2,600 companies and employs more than 22,000 people. The diamond and jewelry business is responsible for over $24.2 billion in economic activity for New York City.
