RAPAPORT... India's Office of The Trade Marks Registry reapproved the trademark ''Le Vian'' for diamond brand Le Vian Corporation of New York on February 27, with the serial number 2324512 under Class 14 trademark classification.
Le Vian filed for approval on May 1, 2012 and has been using the brand name under that registration number in India since November 27, 1980.
Le Vian's trademark includes all jewelry products: cut diamonds, gemstones and precious stones, watches, silver and more. The diamond brand recently received approval in the U.S. for its ''Vanilla Diamond'' trademark. The company holds numerous trademarks, including those for chocolate diamonds and chocolate pearls.
