Press Release: The Women's Jewelry Association (WJA) announced it is now offering an individual membership for people based outside of the U.S.

"Though we have previously had international chapters, today marks the first time that an international industry member can join WJA directly from our website," said WJA's president, Andrea Hansen.

To celebrate the new international membership and introduce overseas business people to WJA, Hansen and two fellow board members, the vice president of membership development, Fran Pennella, and the past board president, Yancy Weinrich, are hosting a WJA complimentary cocktail meetup at BaselWorld, taking place in Basel, Switzerland from March 27 to April 3. The meetup is from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on March 29 at the bar of the SWISSÔTEL BASEL, located at the Messe Basel exhibition center, Messeplatz 25.

WJA's mission is to help women in the jewelry and watch industries advance and develop professionally through networking, education, leadership development and the provision of member services. Its vision is to be the premier business networking organization dedicated to enriching and advancing the professional lives of the women in the jewelry and watch industries.

Founded in 1983, WJA's members represent every dimension of the jewelry and watch industries including designers, manufacturers, wholesalers, retailers, media and a wide range of service organizations. Membership is comprised of professional women and men from all levels of career development, from student to sole proprietor to CEO and every stage in between.

WJA's member benefits for international members include access to members-only grants; discounts on education, networking, and other events; mentorship and leadership development via a private online community; access to WJA's member directory online and other member-to-member benefits. Most significantly, WJA membership offers international businesses the ability to network easily with fellow WJA members around the world, via online communities, as well as at live events. International memberships are available for $75, via the WJA website at: www.womensjewelryassociation.com/memsub.html.
