USPTO Approves New Trademarks for Zale, Le Vian

RAPAPORT... The U.S. Patent & Trademark Office (USPTO) assigned the trademark "Candy Colored Diamonds and Gemstones" to  TXDC L.P. of Zale Delaware Inc., on June 3 with the registration number 4542535.  Zale applied to trademark the phrase on August 30, 2013.  The term was first used in commerce on September 20, 2012.

Zale defined the trademark  to claim the colors black, red, green, yellow, pink, blue and beige with the words "Candy Colored" in a black, curving, stylized font, above the word "Diamonds" in block letters with the letters "D" and "s" in red, the letter "i" in green, the letter "a" in yellow, the letter "m" in pink, the letter "o" in beige, the letter "n" in blue and the letter "d" black, above the words "and Gemstones" in black block letters.

The USPTO also issued the trademark "Le Vian Bridal" to Le Vian Corporation of New York on June 3, with the registration number 4543280. The trademark was originally filed on October 23, 2013 and first used in commerce on April 1, 2012. "Le Vian Bridal" refers to jewelry and diamond jewelry, including bracelets, earrings, cufflinks, necklaces and pendants, as well as watches.
