RAPAPORT... Gemesis Inc. appointed Lisa Bissell as the company's new president and CEO. The company defined Bissell as a highly-regarded name in the industry with 26 years of experience. Bissell was with M. Fabrikant & Sons for 19 years, where she developed proprietary brands and worked with jewelry designers to create new products. 
Bissell said, “I am honored to be working with Gemesis. We already have an incredible product and now we need to create a team that can best represent this product to the industry. We have to work to bring harmonious co-existence to various diamond categories, with an aim to benefit the consumer, along with the people and communities who are such an important part of this industry.” Gemesis added that it is committed to promoting transparency for laboratory grown diamonds. Suraj Mehta of Gemesis said, “We look forward to working with Lisa. Her outstanding record of accomplishments in the diamond industry and her highly-regarded understanding of markets and customers will help Gemesis to become an industry leader in the grown diamond business.”
