RAPAPORT... Diamond jewelry brand Tanishq introduced Inara, an extension of a new line of diamond jewelry that it introduced in 2013. Inara was inspired from  marine sea life with textured surfaces, fluid fineness and interwoven designs.  Inara was unveiled in New Delhi this past week.

The new line is crafted in white and yellow gold with white rhodium plating, which enhances the diamond look, according to Tanishq. The collection also incorporates  colored gemstones such as ruby, emeralds, and blue, pink and yellow sapphires. The  Inara line includes necklaces, bangles, earrings and finger rings.

Sandeep Kulhalli, the senior vice president of retail and marketing at the Titan Company,  said, "Tanishq has been in the forefront of introducing new age diamond jewelry for women of diverse jewelry tastes. We are delighted to present a collection with innovative and unique designs that represents every woman's personality, crafted in real diamonds. Inara is for the Indian woman, who considers jewelry to be an extension of their personality. Celebrating women, this collection fuses the elegance of diamonds and perfectly blends in the modernity and exclusivity aspect. It has been designed keeping in mind the choices and preferences of a contemporary Indian woman."

Revathi Kant, an associate vice president of design, innovation and development for Titan, added,  "Diamond signifies beauty, strength and purity and Inara embodies each of these traits. At Tanishq, our aim is to design jewelry that is best in class, unique and will cater to the diamond jewelry needs of our customers. Every piece in the Inara collection is backed with detailed research on diamond jewelry requirements of modern Indian women. The collection draws inspiration from the underwater life and the jewelry pieces have been enthused with underwater characteristics of shells, feather stars, jelly fish, rocky reefs, etc. Precious color stones have been used in pave setting in small areas along with diamonds, which give an extra choice to the contemporary Indian woman. Modularity has also been explored in various designs. We are sure that Inara will have an appeal to women across India."
