U.S. Assigns Trademarks to Berkshire Hathaway, Fred Meyer, Gems One and J.S.N.

RAPAPORT... The U.S. Patent & Trademark Office (USPTO) awarded the trademark "Love Remembered, Love Today, Love Forever" to Columbia Insurance Company of Omaha, Nebraska, which handles trademarks on behalf of Berkshire Hathaway. The trademark was first used in August 2012 to define jewelry, diamonds, engagement rings and wedding bands and it was assigned the registration number 4554122 on June 24.  Berkshire Hathaway is the parent  of numerous companies, including Ben Bridge Jeweler, Borsheims Fine Jewelry, Helzberg Diamonds and the Richline Group.

Fred Meyer Jewelers Inc. of Oregon received trademark approval for "Locked in Love" on July 1 with the registration number 4561126. Fred Meyer Jewelers applied for the trademark on March 13, 2013 to refer to jewelry and it was first used in July 2013.

The USPTO approved the trademark "Powered By Her Heartbeat" for Gems One Corporation of New York on July 1 with the registration number 4561292. The trademark was originally filed on May 15, 2013 and it refers to diamond jewelry. Gems One first used the trademark in November 2013.

J.S.N. Jewellery Inc. of Canada was granted the U.S. trademark "Canadian Ice" on July 11 with the registration number 4554128.  While the trademark was already active in Canada, J.S.N. Jewellery filed for U.S. trademark status on July 11, 2012 and the term has been in use since 2008. "Canadian Ice" refers to diamonds and jewelry as well as colored gemstones and semi-precious stones. 

The USPTO approved the trademark "Diane Kordas" for Diane Kordas Jewellery of the U.K. on July 1 with the registration number 4558771. The company filed for trademark status on June 27, 2013 and has been using the term since January 2010. "Diane Kordas" refers to diamond and gemstone jewelry of all kinds as well as precious metal plated real leaves and flowers.
