RAPAPORT...  Retailer James Avery will open a boutique this month in Baytown, Texas at Baytown Plaza located at the intersection of Garth Road and Hunt Road.  With the new store, the family-owned jeweler will operate 71 locations across the South and Midwestern U.S.

Howell Ridout, the vice president of real estate and development at James Avery, said, “Our updated new store design offers customers the opportunity to experience the inspiration, meaning, and craftsmanship that goes into our jewelry. The in-store imagery and messaging will give customers a peek into the symbolism and artistry that drives our efforts to help customers connect with the people and ideas they care about most.”

James Avery was established in 1954 and has grown from a one-man endeavor in a garage to a team of over 3,000 employees including designers, craftspeople, sales associates and support staff. Jewelry designs originate from artisans in the James Avery design studio and are made in one of five workshops.
