RAPAPORT... Wholesaler United Gemco, a firm representing 300 craftsmen working with handcrafted jewelry, joined JewelCloud®, a social product network from GemFind. JewelCloud features more than 100,000 products from hundreds of vendors and is part of a lineup of tools, including Diamond Link®, Ring Builder®, Stud Builder®, Pendant Builder® and Facebook apps for vendors as well as jewelry retailers. United Gemco's collections can be fed to retail websites and retailers, in turn, can provide a full, current inventory to their customers. In the JewelCloud, United Gemco can also connect with new retail leads, according to GemFind. GemFind added that United Gemco's limited-edition jewelry transcends trends and incorporates gold, silver, diamonds, precious and semi-precious stones and many unconventional materials.
