RAPAPORT... Randi Zuckerberg, chief executive officer of Zuckerberg Media and author of Dot Complicated, will be a keynote speaker at a conference organized by the Women’s Jewelry Association (WJA) in New York on March 10.

Zuckerberg, a former director of marketing development at Facebook and sister of the social network’s founder Mark, will talk about her personal journey on the front lines of Facebook at the 2016 WJA In The Know Conference. She will share her views on how technology has profoundly changed people's lives, according to a WJA statement December 17. The event will be held at Convene, 730 Third Avenue, NYC.

Hitha Prabhakar, chief retail analyst at Aitchpe Retail Advisory, a boutique consumer and retail research firm, is the other keynote speaker at the event. Prabhakar will discuss retail trends and shifts in consumer attitudes and how they are affecting shopping behavior.

The conference agenda revolves around the theme "Blurring the Lines." It will address how consumer behaviors and technology are changing the way jewelry is sold both online and offline, the statement said.

In addition to the two headline speakers, the WJA In The Know lineup will also feature a new fireside chat format that includes brief conversations with industry movers and shakers who are changing the jewelry sales paradigm.
