RAPAPORT... The AISociety – Appraisers International Society (AIS) will debut an online valuation training course this month aimed at three time zones around the world.

Primary program developer and instructor Elly Rosen will broadcast the program live from New York in separate sessions to ensure each region of the world can access it at a convenient time. Each course is one week long, comprising 40 classroom hours.

Rosen will bring a brand-new ‘Global Valuation Standard’ to each of the regions during the sessions. The standard applies to gems, jewels, watches, fine and decorative arts, antiques and collectibles and all personal property and to all global free market economies and jurisdictions, the AIS said.

Classes aimed at people in Europe, Africa, the Middle East and West Asia will run from July 11 to 15, 10 a.m. to 7 p.m Central European Standard Time. The Western Hemisphere offering targeted at the Americas will be held from July 18 to 22, 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Central Daylight Time. The Pacific course, aimed at East Asia, Australia, New Zealand and Hawaii, will be organized from July 25 to 29, 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. New Zealand Standard Time.
