A rare Cartier “tutti-frutti” bracelet will lead Sotheby’s jewelry auction in Hong Kong next month, carrying an estimated price of $1.3 million to $1.8 million.

The Art Deco piece — one of more than 250 lots in the sale — marries “bold and vibrant” Eastern styles with “elegant and classic” Western aesthetics, Sotheby’s said last week. Tutti frutti refers to a design, largely associated with Cartier, that features carved gemstones in colorful patterns.

The Magnificent Jewels and Jadeite Autumn Sale on October 3 will also feature an 8.49-carat Burmese ruby and diamond ring, which Sotheby’s expects to sell for $1.7 million to $1.9 million.

For more on the tutti frutti style and its popularity at auction, see the September issue of Rapaport Magazine.
