RAPAPORT... Tiffany & Co. is the favorite luxury jewelry brand among wealthy millennials, according to a recent survey by consumer-research group MVI Marketing.

The New York retailer came ahead of Cartier in second place, Pandora in third and Chanel in fourth, MVI said Tuesday. Rolex was the top brand for watches, followed by Apple, Omega and Cartier.

The company posed questions online to 978 men and women aged between 25 and 40 with an annual household income of $80,000 or higher. The survey took place between November 20 and 22.

While Tiffany, Rolex and shoe brand Jimmy Choo came out far ahead of rivals in their respective fields, others sectors saw more competition at the top, MVI pointed out.

Markets such as apparel, handbags, cars, hotels and eyewear “are all white spaces looking for brand leadership,” said MVI president Liz Chatelain. “It’s a significant opportunity for brands to penetrate this growing wealthy-consumer segment that will drive purchasing power for the next 30 years.”
