Jewelry Industry Summit Postponed

RAPAPORT... The third Jewelry Industry Summit, originally planned for
early March, is being rescheduled to a later date due to a lack of funding,
organizers said.
Although the forum, which promotes sustainability and
responsible sourcing, has received a number of contributions from sponsors, the
organization claims many companies are investing their resources in their own sustainability
programs.
The summit sees this as a positive step, believing it
reflects the impact of its previous events on the jewelry industry. It plans
instead to develop its website, create new webinars and presentations, and hold small gatherings throughout the year.
