Antwerp Groups Join Forces with Carat+

Easyfairs has partnered with the Federation of Belgian
Diamond Bourses (FBDB) and the Antwerp World Diamond Centre (AWDC) to present
the upcoming Carat+ show.
“This partnership allows us to associate the Antwerp diamond
sector and its organizations to an already successful Carat+ trade-show
concept,” Dirk Oosterlinck, managing director of Easyfairs, the event’s organizer, said Sunday.
The partnership
will benefit the entire Antwerp diamond industry, especially FBDB’s members, said Philippe Barsamian, the federation’s president.
“The dynamism and the diversity of our diamantaires will be
highlighted in this new international framework,” he added.
The second edition of Carat+ will take place from May 6 to 8
at the Antwerp Expo in Belgium. The show will feature up to 150 exhibitors,
along with diamond suppliers, manufacturers, diamond jewelry brands and
colored-gemstone specialists, as well as special displays, including one focused on Chinese exhibitors.
Carat+ will fall between Baselworld, which takes place in
March, and JCK Las Vegas, which will run in June.
