RAPAPORT... Canada-based jewelry retailer Birks Group has appointed Aurélie Pépion vice president of omni-channel sales and operations.

Pépion (pictured) has more than 13 years of management experience with luxury brands. She was most recently the managing director, Canada, for Swarovski, responsible for retail and wholesale operations, marketing and merchandising. She has also worked for Gucci Group Watches and Puig Prestige.

“[Pépion’s] experience and knowledge in the luxury-jewelry-retail industry, as well as her omni-channel expertise, will be key assets for Birks Group as we continue the development of the Birks product brand and the transformation of our [store] network in Canada,” CEO Jean-Christophe Bédos said last week.

Pépion started her position with Birks at the beginning of April.
