Martin Rapaport to Speak at Gem Conference

RAPAPORT... Rapaport Group chairman Martin Rapaport will give a presentation on the loose-diamond and jewelry market at a conference hosted by the Accredited Gemologists Association (AGA).
The event will take place in Las Vegas on June 9 prior to the JCK Las Vegas show, AGA said recently. In addition, David Block, the CEO of Sarine Technologies, will give a talk on artificial intelligence (AI) in diamond grading, while two representatives of the Gemological Institute of America (GIA) — senior vice president Tom Moses and director of metrology and quality control Yun Luo — will speak about the organization’s research on the effect of fluorescence on diamonds.
A cocktail session and networking opportunity will follow the talks.
“AGA could not be more pleased to host this impressive group of presenters sharing their experience and knowledge and the opportunity to come together after two years of waiting,” said AGA conference committee co-chair Çiğdem Lüle.
