The International Gemological Institute recently announced the
opening of a new course in rough diamonds to be given in Antwerp at
the World Diamond Centre. The course will offer basic knowledge in
identifying diamonds, synthetics, simulents and treatments; and
sorting for clarity, color, sizes, weights, fancy shapes, and for
cleavages and sawing. Students who pass the course's practical test
will receive an IGI Rough Diamond Certificate.
