RAPAPORT... Timex is premiering its diamond watch collection in retail stores and online during October. The Timex Diamond collection was created to offer everyday luxury to women after the company found a strong demand for a range of diamond watches.
Women spoke of seeking a touch of luxury and sophistication that could bring glamour and indulgence to the everyday "My jeans and heels watch."
Each Timex Diamond watch is backed by a GIA certificate (S1 to S12 and G to I.) In addition, each diamond confirms Kimberley Process adherences assuring that all diamonds used in the collection have originated from non-conflict sources. Each set of diamonds is hand-selected to match in terms of color, height and diameter on a watch-by-watch basis.
"The diamond collection speaks directly to a woman's desire for everyday luxury," said Timex group chief marketing officer Kate Shevack. "This collection draws from the heart of the Timex brand, having been inspired by Timex's iconic watch collections of the 1960s."
"We are confident that this stunning collection of Timex timepieces will represent a meaningful new chapter for the brand and provide women with an excuse to wear diamonds on a daily basis," said Shevack.
The Timex Diamond collection features five designs, ranging from a six-diamond to a twenty-four diamond case. Each style takes a different design approach while maintaining rigorous standards of material quality and attention to detail.
The flagship model draws extensively from Timex's rich design archives to deliver a sophisticated dress watch. Offering a seductive blend of grace and fluidity, the case is adorned by 16 hand-selected diamonds, clustered at the twelve and six o'clock positions.
Adhering to a color palette of subtle neutrals, the range uses the power of light and reflection to maximum effect. The indulgent luster of mother-of-pearl and sunray brushing is employed on many dials. The pearlescent theme is continued onto the leather straps, where subtle metallic finishes enhance the glow of the watch. A plum leather strap style, featuring 16 diamonds, incorporates the fall season's most sought after fashion color.
The Timex Diamond collection will retail from $125-$325 at select department stores, including Kohl's, and online at Timex.com.
