Press Release: Eden Rachminov, the owner and managing partner of leading fancy color diamond manufacturer Rachminov Diamonds 1891 Ltd., was presented with the first Natural Color Diamond Association (NCDIA) achievement award for education and promotion of natural color diamonds at an event in New York this past week.
The award was presented to Rachminov for his devotion and efforts on behalf of natural color diamonds, for the variety of colors he promotes and for advancing awareness and knowledge about the field.
Rachminov received the award at the NCDIA’s first annual “Night of Color Diamonds Gala” at the fashionable 60 Reade venue in the Tribeca section of Manhattan. The awards were judged by a panel of industry associates from JCK, GIA and other institutions.
The event was attended by fashion gurus and media personalities such as Stacy London, consumer and trade media, rough diamond producers, diamond and jewelry manufacturers, designers and retailers.
Rachminov is a third generation diamantaire, who is considered a world authority on fancy color diamonds. His fascination with these gems has motivated him to continually enhance his expertise in the field, as well as to educate the public about these rare stones. As part of his efforts to promote awareness, Rachminov wrote and published ''The Fancy Color Diamond Book,'' a 231-page full-color album devoted to these gems, which has received very positive reviews. Rachminov also writes regularly about fancy color diamonds for a variety of trade and specialized publications, and is currently working on a second book on the subject.
