Deadline to Submit for JA's CASE Awards is Feb. 8

Press Release: Jewelers of America (JA), the national trade association for businesses serving the fine jewelry retail marketplace, is accepting entries for its annual retailer design competition to be held at the JA New York Winter Show, February 24 to 26, 2013. The CASE Awards honor JA retail members who exhibit creativity artistry, style and excellence in jewelry design. Entry forms are accepted through February 8.

"Jewelers of America's CASE Awards spotlight the unique craftsmanship that can only be found at independent jewelry retailers. It is a wonderful opportunity for JA Member stores to highlight their staff's talent," said JA's board chair Georgie Gleim, owner of Gleim the Jeweler in Palo Alto, California.

There are eight competition categories in which jewelers can submit their pieces, including: entry platinum jewelry (sponsored by Platinum Guild International, USA), palladium jewelry (sponsored by Palladium Alliance International), three women's jewelry categories at a variety of price points, men's jewelry, silver jewelry and alternative-metals categories. There are numerous awards to be won and CASE Award entrants are displayed to thousands of attendees at the JA New York Winter Show.
 
Winners of the CASE Awards receive trophies and national media exposure. New for the 2013 competition: the winner of each category will have the opportunity to feature their winning piece at Jewelry Information Center's annual Fine Jewelry Preview, which is attended by the most influential fashion and jewelry editors.

The CASE Awards are open to staff of JA retail member companies. Employees of JA member stores can enter pieces as "At Large Entries" through February 8,  and accepted jewelry must arrive at JA headquarters by February 21. First-place winners from state and regional jewelry associations that are partners of JA receive automatic entry in the competition.
