Namakwa's North West Province Tender Nets $970K

RAPAPORT... Namakwa Diamonds' February tender of rough diamonds from its South African subsidiaries achieved $970,000. The company reported that a total of 1,962 carats were sold for an average of $496 per carat with the average stone size being of 0.50 carat.

"The tender achieved satisfactory results with certain articles selling at above expected premiums," said Namkwa's CEO, Theo Botoulas. "We are pleased with the overall results achieved. Our North West product continues to receive a lot of interest from local and international buyers."
