RAPAPORT... PRESS RELEASE, March 13, 2013, Ramat Gan: Martin Rapaport, the Chairman of the Rapaport Group of Companies, will discuss the challenges and opportunities confronting the global diamond trade in a special presentation during  International Diamond Week in Israel, on Monday March 18, 2013 at 4 p.m. in the Israel Diamond Exchange.

The presentation will include an analysis of the competitive relationship between Israel and India, as well as the outlook for diamond prices and demand in 2013.

“Israel has an excellent opportunity to establish itself as the premier international trading market for polished diamonds. It has the ability to source, select and merchandise diamonds for a broad range of international clients. While diamond manufacturing has moved on to India, the ability of Israel’s diamond trade to consistently get the right diamonds to the right buyers at the right prices can ensure its future in the diamond trade,” said Rapaport.
