The volume of sales rose 40 percent and the average sales price per unit increased to $23 (DKK 134) from $22 (DKK 123) one year ago.

By region, sales in local currencies rose 54.3 percent in the Americas, but revenue surged 59.8 percent across Europe. Sales in the Asia Pacific jumped 42.4 percent based upon local currencies.

Pandora's CEO, Allan Leighton, said, “As we announced on July 30, when we increased the financial guidance for 2013, the solid performance reported for first quarter 2013 has continued across all major markets in the second quarter, with strong sales from newly launched products, high replenishment rates and healthy sell-out from the concept stores.

''Our strategy of delivering affordable luxury is becoming increasingly relevant, and although there are still many areas in which we can improve we are pleased with our progress,'' he concluded.
