RAPAPORT... Bonhams London will auction a jewelry collection from novelist Barbara Taylor Bradford in December. Selected jewels include 40 pieces the author has collected to date, during her 49-year marriage to film and TV producer Robert Bradford, such as a 14.07-carat, G, VS1 cushion-shaped diamond single-stone ring, an antique sapphire and diamond brooch, a pair of cultured pearl and diamond earclips and an 18.37-carat sapphire ring.
Bonhams scheduled a presale tour of the collection in October for New York, Los Angeles and San Francisco, followed by viewing in Hong Kong on November 20. Bonhams will display the collection in London beginning on November 30 and the sale is scheduled for December 5.
Matthew Girling, Bonhams' CEO, said, “We are delighted and honored to be selling such a fabulous collection from this distinguished author known internationally for her outstanding contribution to literature. For anyone who loves her work, here is a once in a lifetime opportunity to buy something intensely personal, owned and loved by Barbara Taylor Bradford.”

The author has sold more than 88 million books in over 40 languages with many of those stories having been made into movies and TV mini-series.
Bradford said, “I’ve been married to my husband Robert (Bob) Bradford for 50 years this December and he is a very generous man. He has always presented me with an exquisite piece of jewelry for every wedding anniversary, my birthdays, at Christmas and also whenever I’ve finished a new book or if he’s just made a movie of one of them. I know he won’t be able to resist picking out a jewel to celebrate our Golden Wedding anniversary on the 24th of December this year.”
