RAPAPORT... Pure Gold Jewellers was recertified by Intertek as ISO 9001-2008 compliant, marking the company's tenth year of having enforced compliance standards. The jewelry retailer stated that it was the first industry brand in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) to obtain ISO 9001-2008, which tracks quality assurance and standards and ensures that all applicable statutory and regulatory requirements are followed.
Gopal Tiwari, the head of business assurance at Intertek, said, “According to our audit, Pure Gold Jewellers has continued to exhibit strict adherence to customer service and product quality required for ISO 9001-2008 recertification. They have ensured compliance with local, and international legal requirements and we are pleased to recertify the company.” Pure Gold Jewellers completed a month long process that included a stringent audit of management practices and process reviews. Karim Merchant, the CEO of Pure Gold Jewellers, said, “Meeting the requirements for ISO recertification underlines our commitment to the highest quality customer service and product standards. Our global customers can be assured of the quality practices we maintain. We are pleased to have met the auditing requirements and we will strive to maintain our standards.”
