Sotheby’s has named two senior managers for its Asian jewelry division: Lisa Chow as deputy chairman, and Jessica Wyndham as department head.
Chow (pictured), who has been with the company since 1990, will also maintain her current position as general manager and sales director for
Sotheby’s Diamonds. In her new job, she will be responsible for providing
strategic guidance and building client relationships for the company’s Asian
jewelry auctions.
Wyndham, who has worked at Sotheby’s for seven years, will manage the jewelry
department in Asia, responsible for operations, getting new business, and sales strategies. She previously headed the company’s London jewelry division.
“We welcome two talented colleagues with immense experience
into these critical roles for us in Asia,” said Patti Wong, chairman of
Sotheby’s Asia and of Sotheby’s Diamonds. “The market for jewelry, auctions and
private sales are significant growth areas we are focusing on.”
Sotheby’s recent jewelry hires are part of a plan to enhance
its expertise and sourcing capabilities in Asia, Wong added. These
appointments, in addition to Chow and Wyndham, also include Laurence Nicolas,
who joined in December as executive vice president and global managing director
of the auctioneer’s jewelry and watch division.
Both women will be based in Hong Kong.
