Jewelry retailer Ross-Simons, of Cranston, Rhode Island, has expanded the company's reach online to include a diamond collection website.
The very first Ross-Simons retail store opened in Providence, Rhode Island in 1952. The company expanded by adding a second and third store in 1965 and 1975, and it branched out into mail order in 1981.
The company describes itself as a multi-channel retailer in 2006 with 14 retail outlets in nine states, a worldwide mail order reach of 60 million, and websites for -- diamonds, jewelry, tableware, and home decor.
The Ross-Simons Diamond Collection website offers bridal and wedding rings, diamond jewelry, fancy diamonds, and a design "your own ring" feature. At press time the website was offering free overnight shipping on all engagement rings and loose diamonds.
