RAPAPORT... The Botswana Geological Survey has granted six prospecting licenses (PL's) to PAM Botswana (Pty) Ltd, a fully-owned subsidiary of Pan African Mining Corp.

PAM reported three-year licenses form two separate diamond exploration target blocks, with a combined area of 5,476 square kilometers, located in the Ngamiland area of northwest Botswana.

Existing geochemical data revealed the presence of a sizeable anomalous surface concentration of diamonds to the west of the company’s prospects across the border in Namibia, near the village of Tsumkwe. The characteristics of this kimberlite pathfinder mineral anomaly suggested it is a secondary concentration derived from a primary high-grade kimberlite source located elsewhere.

PAM's diamond team believes this source contains diamonds, and even though a source has not yet been located, the company believes the new licenses will lead to discovery.
