Bangalore to Host Best of India Jewellery Show

Press Release: The third edition of Best of India Jewellery Show (BIJS) 2013, Bangalore’s finest consumer jewelry exhibition, a joint initiative of The Art of Jewellery (AOJ) and the Jewellers’ Association, Bengaluru, will be held from April 26 to 28 with famous Sandalwood star Ragini Dwivedi as its brand ambassador.

The three-day event, to be held at The Lalit Ashok, Bangalore, will display an array of exquisite dailywear and designer jewelry from leading jewelry retailers from all across India, promising a whole new shopping experience for discerning customers.

Resembling last year, the show will be held at the beginning of the jewelry-buying season starting with Akshaya Tritiya, followed by the wedding seasons. At the exhibition, consumers will have the opportunity to look at and choose from over 80-plus leading retailer brands, all under one roof.

Easy access to the venue, ample parking space and a variety of designs in silver, gold and diamond jewelry are the other attractions at BIJS 2013.

Speaking on the occasion Sumesh Wadhera, the managing director and publisher of AOJ said, “We are delighted to have signed Sandalwood star Ragini Dwivedi as the Brand Ambassador for BIJS 2013. We are confident that her popularity will ensure high consumer footfalls. Our multi-pronged promotional campaigns are meticulously planned and well executed to excite consumers and create awareness.”

Dwivedi said, “It’s a pleasure and honor for me to be associated with BIJS .This expo offers a wonderful opportunity to start shopping for Akshaya Tritiya, considered highly auspicious and consumers will be spoiled for the choice with the new designs and the amazing variety that are offered here."

Mahesh Pathi, the chairman of BIJS's organizing committee, said, “BIJS 2013 will address the jewelry buying needs of Bangalore consumers with lot of variety. BIJS provides an opportunity for jewelers to showcase the best they have to offer to consumers.”

The event will showcase many leading name brands, such as Abaran, PC Jewellers, Amrapali, Neelkanth, Nikhar, Apranje, Aarya 24Kt, Panch Kesri among others.

BIJS supports PINK HOPE

As a corporate social responsibility initiative, BIJS has partnered with Pink Hope (Cancer Patient Support Group) under the aegis of the HCG Foundation. BIJS supports the cause by pledging certain proceeds from the exhibition to Pink Hope. The funds through this initiative will be used to treat patients who otherwise would have not been able to get any treatment.

Speaking about the initiative, Dinesh Madhavan, the director at healthcare services for HCG Enterprises Ltd. said that they are happy that BIJS has taken the cause of the fight against cancer in women and thanked BIJS for taking up this noble cause and joining Pink Hope to make cancer care accessible and making life qualitative.
