RAPAPORT... Sotheby’s jewelry executive Frank Everett returned to
the auction house last week after a brief stint at Graff Diamonds.
Everett (pictured) left Sotheby’s at the end of June to join London-based Graff as its US sales
president, and on July 6 posted a photograph on Instagram of his first day at
the jeweler. However, in an update Tuesday, he informed his social-media
followers of his reversal.
“For auction fever there is no cure,” he wrote.
“After briefly turning back to retail, I've returned to Sotheby’s to tell the stories of
the jewels and the ladies who cared for them.”
Everett, previously
Sotheby’s director of jewelry sales, has returned in the expanded role of
senior vice president and sales director for the auctioneer’s luxury division.
“I’m excited that my role will now cross the entire luxury and lifestyle division, expanding Sotheby’s reach into related categories, including fashion and timepieces,” he added in a statement to Rapaport News Wednesday. |
