RAPAPORT... The Antwerp World Diamond Centre (AWDC) in its capacity as a member of the Kimberley Process Certification Scheme's administrative support mechanism announced a newly designed www.kimberleyprocess.com website.  The redesign was orchestrated to enhance the efficiency and continuity of the Kimberley Process by providing comprehensive tools and up-to-date  knowledge and institutional memory, according to the AWDC.

The website gathers relevant news, contact information, official documents, an events calendar and tools for participants and external parties.

On the tenth anniversary of the Kimberley Process this year, the World Diamond Council and Kimberley Process chairman Welile Nhlapo of South Africa signed an agreement to create a permanent administrative support mechanism to provide logistics, organizational and communications support.

The AWDC is assigned to coordinate this support with three additional groups, the Israel Diamond Institute, the Gems & Jewellery Export Promotion Council of India and Ghana's  Government Diamond House.
