JBT Makes President’s Post Official

RAPAPORT... The Jewelers Board of Trade (JBT) has appointed Richard
Weisenfeld as president, the industry group said Friday.
Weisenfeld (pictured), who previously held executive positions at Riva
Precision Manufacturing, as well as at Pranda North America, has been acting
president since Anthony Capuano retired in February. He has served on the JBT board
for 17 years, and was chairman from 2014 to 2015. He will also serve as
treasurer.
Additionally, the JBT has elected a new board, to be led by
Michael Kaplan, who will replace Todd Wolleman as chairman. Kaplan was
previously first vice chairman of the board.
Ann Arnold of Buyers International Group in California has
been elected first vice chairman, while Richard Katz of New York’s Richline
Group will be second vice chairman.
Brenda Pimentel will continue as secretary of the trade
group.
The following people have been newly elected to the JBT board
for a two-year term:
Keven Peck of Color Merchants, New York
Jeffrey Sarfaty of ABN Amro Capital USA, New York
The following people have been reelected to the JBT board
for a two-year term:
Ira Bergman of The Gordon Company, Florida
David Bonney of Lux Bond & Green Inc., Connecticut
Edward DeCristofaro of LDC Inc., Rhode Island
Roderick Lichtenfels of W.R. Cobb Company, Rhode Island
Nilesh Sheth of Forever Collections, California
Todd Wolleman of Leo Wolleman, New York
Reelected to the advisory board for a two-year term are:
Phyllis Bergman of Mercury Ring, New York
Richard Greenwood of A.F. Greenwood Co., New York
