UBM Asia refreshed its Mobile Buyer Guide for the upcoming Hong Kong Jewellery & Gem Fair 2015 that is scheduled for June 25 to 28. The Mobile Buyer Guide includes the complete fair directory with more than 2,000 exhibitor records, interactive floor plans and show information. UBM stated that it improved navigation of the guide and optimized it for faster downloads and updates. In addition, an activity feed allows show visitors and exhibitors to post updates, share pictures and follow news from the event live and an embedded mobile TradeBoard allows visitors to post sourcing requests.
"Many visitors come with a very specific sourcing need: for instance, a type of jewelry or very specific gemstones or equipment. In some cases, visitors have to browse a lot of booths until they find the right supplier. By posting a clearly defined sourcing request to the mobile TradeBoard, visitors can receive exhibitors' responses to their phones all while visiting the fair," said UBM's regional director of ebusiness and event technology, Jerome Hainz.
