From the silver screen to the red carpet, Rona Pfeiffer jewelry is on the radar, in Hollywood and beyond. The collection of Goth, handmade jewelry features gray diamonds, pearls, moonstones, rubies, darkened metals and unique materials such as lava and ostrich egg shell. Many of the pieces are made to be stackable. Pfeiffer was commissioned to create jewelry for the Tim Burton feature film “Dark Shadows,” starring Johnny Depp and Michelle Pfeiffer, who is Rona’s sister-in-law.
   Gumuchian debuted its new Mystere design, a floral-themed ring that converts into a bracelet. A unique hinging system allows the ring — available in yellow, white or pink gold, with or without diamonds — to unfold and blossom into a bracelet.

   A vivid palette of rich colors is the signature of the recently launched Vivaan collection by YNY Jewels. The collection is designed by Yogendra Sethi, whose philosophy is: “Life is a rainbow. The more color you infuse, the more you enjoy it.” The collection draws upon rose cut and old mine diamonds, as well as diamond slices and rough diamonds, to complement the colored gems that define the jewelry.
   Diamonds and design are in the genes of Jade Lustig, who launched a new collection, Jade Trau. When she was 18, Lustig began apprenticing with her grandfather, Solomon Trau of S. Trau, the U.S. division of Trau Bros. During that time, Lustig attended New York University. In 1998, she joined her grandfather’s company, where she began to focus on the globalization of the business. Her interest in jewelry design grew as she became more involved in the business. She did not find many designs that appealed to her style, or that of her friends, so she created the Jade Trau collection. The pieces are characterized by clean lines that accentuate the intrinsic beauty of diamonds in a contemporary interpretation of femininity.
