(Rapaport…November 17, 1999) Diamond wholesaler and jewelry manufacturer, Diamelle, Inc., has unveiled one of the largest collections of diamond jewelry sold on the internet, with more than 50,000 jewelry pieces in addition to thousands of diamonds, opals, and cultured freshwater pearls. The website offers customers full disclosure, a complete breakdown of each piece’s cost, and pictures of the goods taken from all angles. Shipping is free and as part of the website’s launch, there is a 20 percent discount available.

Diamelle CEO, Arun Shah, is part of the Shah diamond family. The family has traded diamonds for over 75 years and were the first Asian recipients of the De Beers site. Diamalle’s advantage is that its supply of diamonds for jewelry manufacturing comes directly through the family’s cutting factories overseas, giving them a substantial cost advantage.
