What are the main issues involved with synthetics diamonds? One is transparency in grading, another is that they met socially responsible demand for diamonds and gems. Matthew Hall, the director of Gemological Institute of America (GIA) Mumbai laboratory operations and Mark Brauner, the co-chief executive of International Gemological Institute (IGI) Worldwide answer whether synthetic diamonds are a trick or treat to the diamond industry.
