RAPAPORT... The London Diamond Bourse (LDB) promoted Victoria McKay to the role of chief operating officer. McKay joined LDB in October 2013 as its operations manager. McKay has almost 21 years in professional services and the bourse stated that in this new role, she will work directly with the board and be responsible for the day to day management of the trading floor, including human resources, marketing, finance, property management, IT and security.

LDB's president, Harry Levy, said, “The appointment of a chief operating officer is essential to the day to day management of the LDB to further the strategic and commercial aims of the organization. I am delighted that Victoria has accepted the invitation to become the LDB’s first chief operating officer. As well as the skill set for the role, Victoria is highly thought of at the LDB and has shown great interest in driving the bourse forward.''

McKay said, “Anyone who knows me understands that I have a real love for the LDB. The members of the London Diamond Bourse have made the last year an absolute pleasure. I am delighted to take up the role of chief operating officer and I will continue to work closely with the council of management as we strive to release the full potential of the bourse.”
